Arizona Old Timers' MX Association

ImageAZOTMX is a club for age 40+ MX riders - men and women. We also have one associate memberships. They are our Young Timer affiliate membership for men and women who are 30 to 39 years old. Regular 40+ AZOTMX members can "ride down" in the 30-39 Young Timer motos, thereby increasing the club participation and competition. Young Timers do not have voting privileges in regular AZOTMX matters. Classes include Beginner, Novice, Amateur, Expert, and Master , determined by racing experience and rider skill. The riding classes range from Novice (people who are fairly new to racing, and have minimal skill/experience with jumping, cornering and speed on the track) all the way to Master  (usually ex-pro's who have maintained very high skill levels). You can't be too fast or too slow to be an AZOTMX member!

One of the primary purposes of the AZOTMX organization is to maintain a fun environment with safety a must - the club motto is "Everyone goes to work on Monday!" That means competitive AND SAFE racing by all participants. Sportsmanship is the name of the game.

· Club races are held at local tracks in Arizona; the schedule is on our azotmx.com website.
· We do our own sign-up at races - no waiting. Race trophies are earned per track guidelines.
· We race for overall points for the top ten positions at the end of the year, and the following year's number plate.
· We hold mini-series, challenges and special events as the club members choose.

Our monthly newsletter is available on our website or mailed to members who do not have internet access.
At our Awards Banquets we (1) present the top scorers with the awards they have earned, (2) enjoy social time together with family and friends, and (3) take home some nice prizes compliments of local businesses.
Members are encouraged to attend monthly membership meetings (held on the second Tuesday of the month). Location is announced at the previous meeting and and posted on the website; meeting site may change depending upon the members' needs.
We encourage family participation and hold special events such as a picnics, member-only practice and skill-improvement sessions which are open to all family members.

Members receive discounts from local shops and mail-order businesses.
Annual Membership is $25; AZOTMX members must ride with a club jersey which costs $40. Regular +40 members are eligible to participate in International OTMX events with other clubs (Nevada, California, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, British Columbia Montana, and Alberta); Young Timers can participate as support classes.
